Privacy Policy
Polanel, Inc. ("Polanel", "we", "us") operates the website at polanel.com. Polanel is a pre-launch product, and this site exists to describe it and let you get in touch. This policy explains what little data the site handles, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we run privacy-friendly analytics with no cookies, we keep the emails you send us, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
What we collect
This site collects data in two ways, and only two:
- Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic to this site, such as page views, referrers, country-level location, and browser type. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not use local storage, does not fingerprint devices, and does not track you across other sites. We see aggregate numbers, not profiles of individual visitors.
- Email correspondence. If you email us at [email protected], for example to request early access or ask a question, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. That is the only personal information this site invites you to share. The site has no signup forms, no user accounts, and sets no cookies of its own.
How we use it
We use analytics data to understand which pages people visit and where traffic comes from, so we can improve the site. We use email correspondence to reply to you, to follow up on early access requests you have made, and to keep track of who has asked to hear from us when the product launches. We will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask to be on.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not run advertising trackers or cross-site tracking of any kind.
- We do not share your correspondence with third parties, except for the service providers that make email and hosting work (for example our email provider and Cloudflare as our hosting and analytics provider), or if the law requires us to.
Retention
Analytics data is aggregate and is retained on Cloudflare's standard terms. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for the conversation you started with us, for example so we can contact you at launch if you asked us to. If you would like your correspondence deleted, email us and we will delete it within 30 days.
Your choices
You can browse this site without providing any personal information at all. If you have emailed us, you can ask at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just write to the address below.
Children
This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles data, for example when the product launches, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted plainly rather than buried.
